IDC Bursary Programme – Closing 31 June
IDC has a bursary programme that assists selected learners who are academically talented but lack financial resources to pursue higher education. The programme focuses mainly on law, commerce, science and engineering and covers tuition, accommodation and books. South African citizens with a valid ID number residing in the Republic of South Africa and who qualify for admission to a University or University of Technology and TVET (Technical vocational education and training) college, and are not studying with the aid of an employer or bursary). Applicants must have grade 12 Maths and Science with a minimum of a B aggregate symbol.
MTN Accounting Bursary (Graduate Development Programme)
The MTN CA (Chartered Accountants) programme is one of the key strategic learnership programmes of MTN, established by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) to ensure the best training possible within a business environment. The CA programme is available to MTNers as well as external candidates.
Old Mutual Actuarial Bursary – Closing 30 May
If you love numbers and think you have what it takes to be an actuary then we have an offer for you! Old Mutual offers Actuarial Science bursaries to study at the University of Cape Town or Stellenbosch University. You need Mathematics with a strong A-plus result and A's and B's for the rest of your matric subjects.
Old Mutual Accountancy Bursary – 30 May
The Old Mutual Accountancy Bursary is for young people are passionate about pursuing a career in Chartered Accounting. You need a matric with at least 70% or Level 6 for all subjects including Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) and English.
Mandela Rhodes Scholarships – 12 June
The Mandela Rhodes Scholarships aim to help in building leadership excellence in Africa. A Mandela Rhodes Scholarship is more than a bursary, though the costs of Scholars are generously covered during their period of study. The Mandela Rhodes Foundation offers young Africans who exhibit academic prowess as well as broader leadership potential an educational opportunity unique on the continent. While pursuing their chosen post-graduate degree, each Scholar benefits from access to leadership development programmes, rooted in the principles underpinning the Foundation.
Thuthuka Bursary Fund - Closing 30 April
The purpose of the project is to annually place between 250 - 300 fully bursared Black African and Coloured students at selected SAICA-accredited universities in cohorts of 50 per university on special undergraduate BCom Accounting education programmes. The accredited universities that are part of the programme are the University of KwaZulu-Natal, University of Johannesburg, Stellenbosch University, University of Pretoria, University of Cape Town, Free State University and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.
Congo Basin Grant Program (CBGP) for selected African Postgraduate Students
Conservation Action Research Network (CARN) invites applications for Congo Basin Grant Program. The Congo Basin Grant Program (CBGP) has been established to provide competitive research grants of up to $5,000 USD for African graduate students and early career professionals working in the areas of biodiversity, conservation and environmental sustainability in the Congo Basin region.
Hugh le May Fellowship for South Africans at Rhodes University, South Africa - Closing 31 July
Rhodes University is offering three and six months residential Fellowship in alternate years to senior scholars. Only qualified applicants should apply i.e. At the conclusion of the Fellowship, the Fellow will be required to present a report on the work undertaken. The Fellow will be required to appropriately acknowledge the Fellowship and Rhodes University in all publications emanating from the period of the Fellowship.
The UNICAF Distance Learning Scholarship for African Students
The UNICAF Scholarship Programme was founded to offer gifted, underprivileged students from Africa the opportunity of furthering their education by studying towards internationally accredited qualifications which are offered fully online or through blended learning. UNICAF is one of the most generous scholarship Programmes available. The programme supports students that are domiciled in Africa and provides opportunities for studies towards various distance learning degree programmes awarded by European, British and American universities.
TDR Postgraduate Scholarship at the University of Zambia
TDR, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, is a global programme of scientific collaboration that helps facilitate, support and influence efforts to combat diseases of poverty. Applicants require ninimum of bachelor’s degree with a credit or above in a relevant field from any recognized university.
Young Professionals Development Programme call for applications – Closing 6 May
The SKA SA is offering the opportunity for science and engineering graduates to work for the project. The Young Professionals Development Programme (YPDP) is currently open for applications from suitably qualified candidates from South Africa.
WIT International Student Scholarships - Ireland
Diversity of students in terms of country of origin is one of the pillars on which international education in any institution is founded. In order to encourage high calibre applicants to study at our Institute, we offer a number of scholarships to Non-EU citizens on an annual basis.The International Student Scholarship will provide for a 25% reduction in tuition fees for each year of an undergraduate or a Higher Diploma programme. (NB for entry into all years of Bachelor programmes except final year). Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
