Business Studies is an introduction to the business world. Business Studies helps you to make more informed decisions in the everyday business environment. It gives you the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values needed for the world of work, whether in the formal or informal sectors. It encourages you to think about how people start up in business and why you too might consider starting a business.


Business Studies allows the student to get a good understanding of the basics of the business world, how to profitably conduct business, how to create business opportunities, solve problems and apply leadership and management skills. Some of the content is in line with what is studied at university.


The subject encompasses business principles, theory and practice that underpin the development of entrepreneurial initiatives, sustainable enterprises and economic growth.
